FORTITUDE is off in queryland and I’ve taken a few weeks off from writing to clear my head. In the meantime, I’ve been beta reading for friends, knitting, and enjoying the season with my kidlets.
Now it’s time to get back into the writing groove. I’m rewriting CORRODED, again. Why? Because I love the characters and believe in their story. Mary and Ben need an injection of higher stakes, and one publisher is willing to take another look at the manuscript when that happens—as well as the option of reaching out to new companies with the refreshed storyline. Back to these old tunes I go, possibly to find some new songs to fit the make-over.
How many times does it take to get a story marketable? I’ll let you know, but I’m already in the double digits.
