This year has been one of learning adventures on the literary front. The biggest was that I dove into being my own boss with Olive Kent Publishing. As part of that, I learned how to format books, design covers, deal with distribution, and so much more. I re-released Corroded in March, which had been out-of-print for three years, published all three books in the brand new Malevolent Trilogy in July, and re-released Fortitude and all nine books in The Possession Chronicles in October. Yes, fourteen books in 2022.

While I was busy with edits on The Malevolent Trilogy (and learning the ropes about being my own publisher) in the first half of the year, I didn’t take much down time before diving into my newest project, Washington Square Secrets. I have the first two stand alone novels in various stages of edits and hope to have the first book, Discernment, out before summer 2023. Watch for a new page on my website about this paranormal Southern Gothic series in the weeks ahead.

On a parting note, the Christmas anthologies for charity that Bienvenue Press put together over the past several years are going out of print at the end of the month. These holiday romance collections benefit various charities that fit the themes of the anthologies–Cajun Navy Relief, local animal rescue centers, and Acadian Writing Project (which helps K-12 teachers in Louisiana with writing lessons/projects for their students.)
There is a donated Possession Chronicles linked short story in each one. Grab a copy while you can on Kindle or in paperback and do some good this holiday season. These are mostly sweet romances, though mine do have a touch of Southern Gothic–but with Happily Ever Afters for a change.

All the best for a safe and reading-full holiday and new year! I’ll check back in January.
