Digital Sale on Multiple Titles

Let the release week shenanigans begin!
In celebration of book 5 of The Possession Chronicles, Bienvenue Press is running a sale on several of the titles in my Southern Gothic family saga series. Check it out.

Not only can you get Hostile Charms for $0.99, but you can buy Perilous Confessions for the same low price as well. And Murmurs of Evil, a reader favorite for it’s creepy Gothic setting, is on sale for two dollars off! This is the biggest sale ever for my titles, so take advantage of it.
Now is a great time to dive into the drama of the early 1900s and catch up with the Melling, Easton, and Davenport families so you’re ready for Hostile Charms on September 8. If you already have them all in your collection, consider telling a reader friend or gifting digital copies this week. You can always search for “Carrie Dalby” at your favorite ebook store, but here’s a handy link that will give you access to each of The Possession Chronicles titles with shopping links to all the major digital platforms selling them. Shop with Books2Read dot com.

Release Day in One Week

The day is nearly upon us. Hostile Charms, book 5 of The Possession Chronicles, releases next Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Set during the first half of 1912 in Mobile, Alabama, the continuation of this family saga brings new faces and the return (if they ever left) of the demons that plagued the characters inside Seacliff Cottage–and more.

Springtime in “Azalea City” is charming, but danger often lurks behind beauty. Find out Frederick Davenport’s side of the story and see how far he is willing to go to protect his girls. Preorder on digital platforms now for the sale price of $0.99.

Radio Interview

On Saturday, August 1, I will be doing a live interview on a Blog Talk Radio show. Tune in to Book Talk with Tessa and Cindy at 3pm Eastern (2pm Central, etc.) to hear me gush about all things relating to The Possession Chronicles, my Southern Gothic family saga series. There is a call in number, so don’t be shy if given the option of phoning in questions.
Find more information/listen to the interview here: https://www.blogtalkradio.com/poisedpenprobooktalkradio/2020/08/01/author-carrie-dalby-visits-book-talk-with-tessa-cindy

Reminder: We are less than six weeks from the release day for Hostile Charms. It’s scheduled for September 8, so stay tuned for more news on book five of the saga. The cover is an epic edition to the series. If you’ve read Scarred Memories, I’m sure you can tell who graces the cover of Hostile Charms.

We All Need Fortitude

Today–Saturday, June 6, 2020–marks the 122 anniversary of the Tampa area race riots that happened during the mobilization of the troops to Cuba for the Spanish-American War. For my novel, Fortitude, I researched the event from multiple sources and did my best to portray the situation accurately, though it was heartbreaking to dive into such vileness as the triggering event. More lives were lost in Florida (due to disease and bigotry) than in the Cuba campaign of the Spanish-American War.

If you’re not familiar with Fortitude, it’s a coming-of-age Southern Gothic listed with Grateful American Foundation as a “Best History Book” for kids (targeted for 5-10th grades), one of only three dozen books currently on the list. It’s about standing up when you see injustices and helping your fellow man, no matter the cost. The settings are mostly familiar ones to my readers: Mobile, Dauphin Island, Mon Louis Island, and Tampa in 1898. It was my first published novel in 2015 and is now in its second edition with Bienvenue Press, home of The Possession Chronicles–and several of the characters if Fortitude make an appearance in the series.

We must learn from the past and move forward with compassion–and fortitude.

Bienvenue and Happy Release Day

It’s here! Bienvenue to the Chateau Rouge, the paranormal romance anthology that includes my first ever co-writing project released today!

I wrote “Revelry’s Requiem” with Jolie St. Amant, who acts as hostess for all these stories as they are set in her world of the Chateau Rouge series. While the other three authors also had to play by her rules, I was the lucky one to be able to co-write a story with her. Why? Because she loves my character Claudio De Fiore of The Possession Chronicles and invited him to New Orleans to play. Looking back, we might should have declined the invitation. Bringing a priest to hang out in a bordello inhabited by vampires during Mardi Gras 1911 isn’t the best idea. Sorry, Claudio!

As always, my anthology short stories can be read alone though they have their chronological order within The Possession Chronicles. Find the listing of all stories relating to the series–and purchase links–on The Possession Chronicles page. Happy reading!
