Alliance Vibes

Alliance: Washington Square Secrets 2 has been out for three months. Several readers have told me it’s my best book, and many of those also say Josephine is their favorite character. Most agree they can’t wait to see Deborah Farley from Discernment on the page with Josephine in the third book because they love both leading ladies so far in Washington Square Secrets. Wherever you rank the series, the next book will release this summer.

Here’s a fun picture of Marianne, the Goddess of Liberty, that was on top of the old courthouse in Mobile. There’s a scene in Alliance in one of the early chapters from Josephine’s childhood that shows her flying over the courthouse and remarking on this statue. It now rests inside the History Museum of Mobile on Royal Street, across from the courthouse’s previous location.

As you’re waiting for the next book, I suggest catching up with The Malevolent Trilogy, if you haven’t already. Several characters from the trilogy make appearances in Washington Square Secrets. After all, the cover house from book one, Malevolent Hearts, is right across from Washington Square Park. (It’s to the left of Discernment in the image below.)

In closing, if you’re in the Mobile Bay area next week, stop in the Mobile Literary Festival. I’ll be at the Ben May Main Library all day and sitting on the first panel of the morning. Check out this lineup–and the festival is FREE!

Come and go as you need to throughout the day. And remember, all participating authors–not just the ones on the program–will have books for sale in The Haunted Book Shop’s Popup Shop and will be able to sign the books for you. (It’s typically best to catch them right after their session because not everyone stays for the full day.)

Happy reading, this Spring and always.
