The month started with literary events and ended with a lot of Mobile Police Department volunteer activities.
The first two weeks of October had me on a panel discussing hands-on research techniques at Mobile Writers Guild and then representing my books at the first ever Oakleigh Literary Lawn Party.

As for the Mobile Police Department activities, I’m now a member of the Mobile Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. During the last nine days, I volunteered for a shift (one out of eight nights) for their big fundraiser, helped track down the burial place of a three-time MPD Chief from the 1800s, volunteered as refreshment setup/usher at the Mobile Police Academy graduation, and helped for a couple hours during MPD’s bi-annual event to accept expired/unused medications for proper disposal.

And between it all, there have been multiple trips to Bellingrath Gardens and Home to enjoy the autumn weather with my family, as well as lots of edits. I’m currently working through draft seventeen of Betrayal: Washington Square Secrets 4. Oh, and spooky reads for two different October book club meetings.
Hope your Autumn is filled with things you enjoy including good books and fresh air!
