Saturday, December 10, I’ll be on the grounds of the Historic Oakleigh House Museum during their Holiday Homes Tour. Weather permitting, I’ll have a booth set up from 10am-5pm where you can purchase books directly from me, or bring your copies for me to sign. I’ll also have some exclusive swag items available while supplies last.
You do not need a ticket to shop the vendors on the grounds (several authors, at least one artist, and baked goods–including doggie treats), but to tour inside the Oakleigh mansion and the three private homes open that day, you will need to purchase an entry ticket. Proceeds go to Historic Mobile Preservation Society. If you read my books, you’ll know I’m passionate about the gorgeous architecture around the city.

One of the private houses on the tour that day (202 Rapier Ave.) is the setting of my 2023 release, Discernment, the first book in the forthcoming Washington Square Secrets series. What is now called the Oakleigh Garden District was once referred to as the Washington Square Neighborhood. (The house on the cover of Malevolent Hearts is right across from Washington Square Park, a few blocks from the Oakleigh complex.) A lot of my characters from The Possession Chronicles live in the Washington Square neighborhood too.

And next week, on Monday, December 12, 2022, I’m scheduled to be the featured guest on “Midday Mobile” with Sean Sullivan on FM Talk 106.5 during the 1pm hour (Central USA time) as part of the “Locals Only Christmas” series spotlighting locally made items that make great holiday gifts. You can listen live on the website if you aren’t local, and call in with questions. There might be a podcast available afterward–check the website for more information on that.
I’m grateful for these opportunities to share my love of historic Mobile, architecture, and especially literature. I’ll try to drop another note before the end of the year, but if that doesn’t happen, I wish you a happy holiday season full of reading time!

P.S. Mark your calendars for February 15, 2023. I have a special presentation happening that day. If you are in the Mobile Bay area or want to plan a trip, you’ll want to catch this. More info to come soon.
