Release Day News

Today marks the day Masked Flaws and Other Stories is available to the world.

This collection of previously published short stories is the first time my shorts can be found in one location. Historical in nature, and all but one directly linking to one or more of my series, these stories span the Gulf Coast from Mobile Bay to New Orleans.

Mardi Gras shenanigans–check!

The wilds of Dauphin Island–check!

A ghostly Southern Gothic tale–check!

And so much more. If you haven’t collected all the Mobile Writers Guild and Bienvenue Press anthologies over the past half dozen years, now is your chance to read my offerings. Bonus: there’s one short that has only been published in the second edition of Barren Devotion making “Mystic Misperceptions” is new to most readers. And let’s not forget my only co-written story, “Revelry’s Requiem” with Jolie St. Amant, when Father Claudio De Fiore goes to New Orleans to prevent his cousin Valentino from making a horrific mistake. Or my Southern Gothic retelling of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “Rappaccini’s Daughter.”

This time of year is perfect for enjoying Masked Flaws and Other Stories as the stories take place on Halloween through the winter months, with one springtime tale to close things out.

Happy reading!
