In two weeks, the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and CthulhuCon is coming to the South for the first time. The location? Historic downtown Mobile, Alabama! I’m excited to see a national festival choose Mobile, and more so that my friends at The Haunted Book Shop are actively participating in the event running November 3-5, 2023.
As part of the festival, I’ll be hanging out most of the day on Saturday, November 4. My day will kick off with the presentation “The Relation Between Southern Gothic and Gothic Horror” at the convention hotel and close out at The Haunted Book Shop with a book signing in the late afternoon.

Be sure to check the festival’s website for more information and the exact scheduling as the event approaches. And if you want to keep up on social media, the Facebook event pages are this one for the festival and click here for The Haunted Book Shop happenings.
If a horror festival isn’t enough to be excited over, on November fourth The Haunted Book Shop will give you the chance to buy a copy of Alliance: Washington Square Secrets Book 2 a full month before the official release day (while supplies last.) Come say hello and purchase a signed copy of the next instalment of my paranormal Southern Gothic series before its December fifth release. (All my other books will be available as well.)
