Welcome to the World, ALLIANCE

Today is the book birthday for ALLIANCE: Washington Square Secrets 2. From what I’ve heard from a few early readers, it’s a new favorite for them. Did you know the majority of the story is set December-January 1912? That makes it a perfect holiday read.

Find Alliance (and any of my other books) in paperback or ebook formats from your favorite booksellers/apps including Hoopla, which allows you to read ebooks for free using your local library card if your public library participates in the service. (Mobile Public Library does!)

On a semi-related note, I’m on Youtube. Find playlists (soundtracks) for all my books plus one short story, and some bonus content here. There are a few original uploads, including one that you can only access by direct link at the moment, but it will be going live tomorrow.

What is it?

“The Relations Between Southern Gothic and Gothic Horror”

It is the presentation I gave at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Mobile, Alabama, last month. The festival hosted their first ever global streaming event this weekend and asked if I’d record my presentation for them to use as bonus content for the streaming guests. I did, and it wasn’t painful. I plan on recording a few of my other presentations to share this way in the near future. If things like this are of interest, please subscribe to my channel.

As a thank you for reading my blog, here’s the direct link to “The Relation Between Southern Gothic and Gothic Horror” so you can watch early as well. Let me know what you think.

This will probably be my final blog post for the year (but you can see updates on my social media pages), so have a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays. I’ll catch you in 2024, if not before.

If you are in the Mobile Bay area, here’s where I’ll be the next few weeks:

Enjoy Alliance and any other reads as you close out the year.
